18 Vils Feudal Drush

The goal here is to reach Feudal Age quickly while still landing the first hit, by making 2 Militia on the way up. Those 2 Militia plus a Feudal Age Scout can do real damage, mainly by harassing villagers. Use the Scout to block villagers running back to the Town Center or to stop quick walling, while the Militia handle the main damage. Another benefit is that you get to see exactly what your opponent is doing before committing to your own Feudal Age follow-up, so you can react properly. It's hard to afford more than 2 Militia at first, but you can optionally add more Militia or the Man-at-Arms upgrade once you're in Feudal Age. Compared to a pre-Mill drush, this version applies more pressure thanks to the stronger Scout, and allows a faster follow-up. It works best with civilizations that have early game economy or infantry bonuses, since it's hard to afford otherwise.

What next: Based on what you scout, here's how to follow up: 1. If you see a Stable: make 1-3 Spearmen at home, transition yourself into Archers, and prioritize fully walling. 2. If you see a Range: either follow up with Scouts to hold map control, or build your own Range and make defensive Skirmishers while walling and heading to Castle Age. 3. If you see them adding a lot of Militia or Man-at-Arms: either match them with more Militia, or add a Range and play into Archers. Adjust your economy to match whichever follow-up you choose. Going Scouts or Skirmishers, send a few more villagers to berries and start seeding farms. Going Archers, send 3-4 villagers to gold. If your drush finds a lot of damage, plan an aggressive follow-up. If it doesn't, play more defensively until you're walled. From there, you can commit to more military, add Monks or Siege, or simply drop 1-2 more Town Centers and keep developing, stay flexible and weigh your options.
